Fallen Pratt firefighter laid to rest Tuesday

    A fallen Pratt volunteer firefighter was laid to rest Tuesday.

    The funeral for Lt. Thomas Craigo, a man who was killed in a crash March 24 on the Turnpike while responding to a triple-fatal crash, was held at 2 p.m. at Riverside High School. Visitation was Monday.

    The Eyewitness News SkyTeam drone captured the video below as firefighters, family and community members lined up outside the high school after the funeral.

    Craigo, 40, was killed along with Assistant Fire Chief Mike Edwards, 46. Edwards was laid to rest Saturday. Three other firefighters were also injured.

    State fire marshals said the procession traveled from Riverside High School across the Chelyan Bridge to Route 61. Crossed ladder firetrucks were set up at Paint Creek Road. The procession was scheduled to continue past the Pratt Fire Station and through Montgomery, across the Montgomery Bridge, back on Route 60 to Montgomery Memorial Park where the burial was scheduled to take place. Crossed ladder trucks were expected to be at the entrance to the cemetery.

    Following the funeral, a dinner and gathering were scheduled to take place at the Pratt Volunteer Fire Department. Overflow parking will be at the mouth of Paint Creek and a shuttle will be provided.
