A low pressure system brought early morning rain showers to the southern part of the region early this morning. Skies will clear out tonight which will allow some fog to form late. Clouds with showers will return on Wednesday with a chance of thunderstorms on Thursday.
Tonight, skies will be mostly clear with fog forming late from the cooler temperatures along with the moisture left over from the recent rainfall. The overnight low temperature will drop to a cool 30 degrees which is actually seasonable for this time of year, although cooler than what we have become accustomed to. Tuesday will be mostly sunny and dry under high pressure with the high temperature making it to 65 degrees. Wednesday will be cloudy with showers as a warm front moves into the region. The high will drop back to 56 degrees with the additional clouds and showers. Thursday will be cloudy with showers and storms as the trailing cold front moves into the region. The high temperature will make it to 66 degrees in the warmer air ahead of the front. Friday will be cloudy with some scattered show showers and flurries in the cool northwesterly flow behind the front. The high temperature will drop back to 44 degrees.
The weekend will start out with partly cloudy skies along with dry conditions on Saturday under high pressure. The high temperature will warm slightly to 47 degrees. Sunday will be partly cloudy and dry with a high temperature of 51 degrees.
Monday will be partly cloudy and dry under high pressure. The high temperature will warm back up to 60 degrees. Tuesday will be cloudy with showers and thunderstorms as a strong cold front makes its way into the region. The high temperature will drop back to 46 degrees in the cooler air behind the front. Wednesday will be cloudy with snow showers as cold air moves in behind the departing front. The high temperature will fall again to 36 degrees. Thursday will be cloudy with snow showers along with a cooler high temperature of 34 degrees.
