Anthony Conn joined the Eyewitness News Team in January of 2020 as a Multimedia Journalist/Reporter. He currently anchors the weekend evening newscasts. He’s from West Sunbury, Pennsylvania, an hour north of Pittsburgh.
Previously Anthony spent three and a half years as a reporter and anchor at sister-station WTOV, covering Steubenville, Ohio and Wheeling, West Virginia in the Ohio Valley. During his time at WTOV he covered a variety of stories ranging from impactful hospital closures to evening breaking news to lighthearted features like the annual Barnesville Pumpkin Festival. Anthony interned at WJET in Erie, Pennsylvania in the summer of 2015.
Anthony is a proud graduate of Waynesburg University, where he majored in Electronic Media. While in college he was general manager of the campus television and region editor for the student newspaper. His work covering the local drug epidemic won a national SPJ Mark of Excellence Award.
Anthony is an avid sports fan and enjoys cheering on his Pittsburgh teams, especially the Penguins. You can find him playing hockey, head banging to heavy music, checking out new restaurants and spending time with his wife.
