WVU Holds On To Beat K-State

The Mountaineers used a big second quarter along with a great defensive effort to beat K-State on the road Saturday 28-23. Will Grier threw four first half touchdown passes as the Mountaineers took a 28-20 lead into the lockerroom despite turning the ball over four times in the first two quarters. That was all the scoring the WVU defense would need as it shut down K-State holding the Wildcats to 332 yards of offense. West Virginia returns to Morgantown next weekend for a showdown with Texas. Dana Holgorsen's team will finish up regular season play the following week at 5th ranked Oklahoma.
