WVU dismisses Ahmad and Harris for violating policies
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WCHS/WVAH) —
West Virginia University officials said Monday that Esa Ahmad and Wes Harris have been dismissed from the men’s basketball team for violating athletics policies.
Ahmad is a senior, and Harris a junior. Both have been regulars on the team.
For the season, Ahmad was averaging 12 points and six rebounds. Harris was averaging about eight points a game and four and a half rebounds.
With an overall record of 10-14 and 2-9 in the Big 12, the Mountaineers have struggled this season.
