High School Baseball: SA and Hurricane still alive

The two teams who played for the Class AAA state championship last season in West Virginia high school baseball were fighting for their postseason lives on Thursday night.

And both defending champion St. Albans and Hurricane lived to play another day.

St. Albans avenged a loss to South Charleston while Hurricane gained redemption by knocking off Spring Valley.

The rubber games in those AAA sectionals will be staged Friday.
