Girls High School Basketball: SC girls stay unbeaten, Spring Valley boys picks up road win
When the first set of Associated Press high school basketball polls were released, the Lady Black Eagles of South Charleston sat at No. 3.
So with No. 5 Woodrow Wilson coming to town, the top-five matchup looked tight on paper. But after 24 minutes of play, the Lady Black Eagles had the better night.
South Charleston (9-0) defeated Woodrow Wilson (5-4), 63-44, staying unbeaten.
On the boys' side, Tuesday night, No. 10 Spring Valley (5-2) used a second-half rally to knock off St. Albans (5-3), 66-55.
Spring Valley's Chase Maynard finished with 15 points. C.J. Meredith blocked six shots in the win.
