High School Basketball: Beckley tops Logan in shootout

Logan, minus David Early, fell to Beckley Woodrow Wilson Tuesday evening in the Little General Shootout.

INSTITTUTE (WCHS-TV/WVAH-TV) - Among the games on tap Tuesday at the Little General Shootout inside the Walker Convocation Center was a matchup featuring a pair of historic programs.

Beckley Woodrow Wilson owns 16 state titles.

Logan has seven championships to its credit.

The two met for the AAA crown in 1991 with Logan emerging victorious.

In evening action on Day 2 of the shootout the Wildcats, playing without star David Early, were no match for WW, falling 79-49.

Some of the other games had Chapmanville knocking off Huntington High and the boys and girls teams from Morgantown downing St. Albans.

The nightcap saw GW defeat Point Pleasant.

The shootout wraps up on Wednesday.
