FAYETTE COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS/WVAH) —
Fayette County deputies said a woman is accused of taking about $5,000 from her father’s account that is designated for his care at an Oak Hill assisted living facility.
Cinda Meador, 24, of Beckley was arrested Tuesday morning on a felony charge of financial exploitation of an elderly person, according to a news release from the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said the alleged thefts took place over a six-month period.
Meador turned herself into deputies Tuesday morning and was unable to post the $10,000 bond set by the Fayette County Magistrate's Office. She is currently being held in Southern Regional Jail.
