West Virginians buying health care through ACA could see major rate increase
CHARLESTON, WV (WCHS/WVAH) —
West Virginians who buy health care coverage through the Affordable Care Act are likely to see their rates go up by double digits in 2018.
The West Virginia State Insurance Commission Approved a 25 percent rate increase for Highmark and about a 20 perfect increase for CareSource. Pending legislation concerning subsidies could still affect these hikes with both companies refiling for lower increases, depending on how much the governments kicks in.
