Volunteer fire crews respond to early morning electrical fire
Kanawha County, W.Va. (WCHS/WVAH) —
Pinch, Malden, and Sissionville Volunteer Fire Departments responded to a house on fire Saturday morning in the Mink Shoals area.
Firefighters arrived on scene to find a small exterior fire on a two-story home in the 100 blocks of Knollwood Drive. It happened just before 9 a.m
Pinch Assistant Fire Chief Donnie Milgram says a repairman drilled into an electrical line causing it to start the fire and arc. AEP was requested to come shut off the power to the home and firefighters stayed on scene until that task was completed. People where home at the time but able to exit the home safely.
