As part of our Foodie Friday, we asked our viewers on social media what place has the best pepperoni rolls in the tri-state area.

The viewers have spoken, and Lil’ Bit of Heaven Cupcakes in St. Albans was the place that received the most nominations.

The family recipe passed down from generation to generation has now evolved into a favorite among locals.

"We have people drive in from not only all parts of the state but from Kentucky, Ohio, Virginia. This happens regularly,” said Teri Blevins, owner of Lil’ Bit of Heaven Cupcakes.

The pepperoni roll, which is popular in West Virginia, is made in various ways.

Since 2016, Lil' Bit of Heaven Cupcakes in St. Albans has been making them in their bakery.

"I've always loved pepperoni rolls, but I felt like we could improve upon the kind of standard that everybody else tends to go to,” said Blevins.

The difference, she said, is how the pepperoni roll is made.

"We grind our pepperoni so that it's a finer texture. You get a ton more packed in. It gives you a lot more flavor. We use really good mozzarella cheese and then we roll them up like cinnamon rolls,” Blevins said.

The delicious family recipe dough mixed with the spiral of cheese and pepperoni make Lil' Bit of Heaven Cupcakes' pepperoni rolls a must try!

"Either they've never had a pepperoni roll or they'll walk in the door and say, ‘I was told I have to come here. I have to get your pepperoni rolls,’" Blevins said.

The pepperoni rolls are available on Fridays, and they typically sell out.

Now we're searching for the best place to get hot dogs in the tri-state area.

Head over to our Facebook page and weigh in.

We'll be contacting the place with the most nominations on Monday morning.
