Thousands still without power after Friday's severe weather
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS/WVAH) —
Thousands of Appalachian Power customers in West Virginia are still without power Saturday after strong storms moved through the region Friday night.
As of about 1 p.m. Saturday, the power company is reporting 7,863 customers in West Virginia are without power.
Boone County has the most customers without power with 1,655. Kanawha County has 1,241 customers without power. In Cabell County, 1,018 customers are without service and in Lincoln County, 1,101 customers are still without power.
Appalachian Power crews are working to restore service to those customers, but there is no word for when power will be completely restored.
