St. Albans is looking for applicants interested in becoming a city police officer.

Applications for the position of probationary police officer may be obtained at the police department, city clerk’s office or online at this link and must be returned no later than 4:30 p.m. Nov. 26, according to a news release from the St. Albans Police Department.

Applicants must submit their application with copies of the following attached: a valid driver’s license, high school diploma or GED, birth certificate or military form DD214 (if applicable).

The qualifying physical examination will be 8 a.m. Dec. 8 at the St. Albans Police Department, 51 Sixth Ave. A written examination will be given the same day at 1 p.m. at the Hansford Center, 500 Washington St. in St. Albans.
