Police say woman charged in shooting, robbery that injured man in Huntington

Huntington police said a woman was charged in the robbery and shooting of a man.

Jessica N. Ross, 23, of Huntington was charged with robbery and malicious wounding, according to criminal complaints filed in Cabell County Magistrate Court.

Police said the shooting occurred April 13 on Monroe Avenue in Huntington. Police said Ross demanded money from the victim and shot him in the leg when he refused. Police said the victim gave Ross $1,000. Police said the victim was also beaten with a cane by a juvenile who was with Ross. Police said the victim also suffered injuries to his head.

It is unclear if the juvenile is facing any charges at this time. Ross was taken to the Western Regional Jail and bond was set at $100,000.
