Police identify man whose body was found in alley earlier this week

Huntington police have identified the name of a man whose body was found in an alley earlier this week.

Police said the body of Julius Paul Jenkins, 40, of Detroit, Mich. was found Wednesday, according to a news release from the city of Huntington.

Police said Jenkins' body was discovered about 8 a.m. Wednesday in the alley of Guyan and First avenues in the 2600 block. Police said he suffered from a gunshot wound.

Friday morning, a man was taken into police custody in connection to the case but was later released.

No arrests have been made and the investigation continues.
