One injured, one arrested in shooting in Charleston

Police said one person was injured in a shooting on the West Side of Charleston Saturday afternoon.

At about 12:15 p.m. Saturday, Charleston police said Frank Gravely, 28, was shot in the leg during an altercation in a home at 617 Grant Street on Charleston's West Side.

Police said Gravely was shot by the homeowner, Shawn Hall, 51. Hall called 911 and remained on scene until emergency crews responded, police said.

Gravely was taken to CAMC General and is in stable condition after going through immediate surgery.

Hall was arrested for malicious wounding and is being held in the South Central Regional Jail.
