More than 1,300 customers without power in St. Albans area
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS/WVAH) —
More than 1,300 customers were without power and traffic lights were out Tuesday afternoon along MacCorkle Avenue in the St. Albans area, Metro 911 said.
Appalachian Power has a crew at the scene, a Metro 911 supervisor said about 3 p.m.
The company website said outages are due to a problem with a distribution line.
At one point, more than 1,700 customers were without service. The power company's website said more than 1,300 were without service as of 5:30 p.m.
Power is expected to be restored about 9 p.m., according to Appalachian Power’s website.
