ST. ALBANS, W.Va. (WCHS/WVAH) — School officials have found mold at St. Albans High School.
Mold was found in 12 classrooms, the library, computer lab and counselor suite last week.
Astar Abatement has completed cleaning each room.
Follow-up air quality testing was done Monday.
A spokeswoman for the Kanawha County School district told Eyewitness News she anticipates the results of that air quality test in the next few days.
If each room is found to be at an acceptable level, they will be opened to staff and students. Otherwise, additional cleaning will be done.
Teachers will return to St. Albans High School Tuesday. The school principal will work with teachers to find a space until air quality results are returned.
