Police say man driving more than 90 mph faces drug and other charges

    Milton police said a man faces charges after they pulled him over for going more than 90 mph on Interstate 64 and a search of his vehicle turned up drugs, cash and a stolen firearm.

    Nathan Simpkins, 23, of Kenova was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, receiving or transferring stolen property, prohibited person with a firearm and reckless driving, according to a post on the Milton Police Department's Facebook page.

    Police said they stopped Simpkins' car after it was traveling 92 mph on I-64 in Milton Thursday evening. Police said a K-9 unit was called in and they searched his car and found cocaine, marijuana, $1,600 in cash and a stolen firearm.

    Simpkins was taken to the Western Regional Jail.
