Kanawha County deputies make arrest in Cross Lanes shooting, search for possible suspect
CROSS LANES, W.Va. (WCHS/WVAH) —
An arrest has been made and another person is being sought on an arrest warrant in connection to the July 16 shooting in Cross Lanes.
Sarah Kirk, 24, of Cross Lanes was arrested on an accessory after the fact to malicious wounding charge, according to a news release from the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office. Deputies made the arrest after executing a search warrant.
An arrest warrant for malicious wounding also was issued for Gontorwon Gblorzuo Toweh, 25, of Charleston, deputies said. Toweh has previous addresses on Oakwood Road in Cross Lanes and Fourth Avenue in Charleston, the release said.
On Monday, Corey Ellis, 25, of Cross Lanes was shot in the arm and leg. Deputies were called to Taco Bell shortly after midnight. A shooting occurred at a residence in Cross Lanes and Ellis was taken by personal car to Taco Bell, where he met an ambulance.
