Kanawha County deputies arrest man following pursuit through Charleston
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS/WVAH) —
Kanawha County deputies arrested a man Friday night after he led them on a high-speed chase across Charleston.
Deputies said Daniel Banks caught their attention by driving erratically all over the road. When they tried to pull him over, he took off, leading police on a pursuit. During the pursuit, deputies said Banks was throwing something out of the window.
After a short pursuit, the car came to a stop near the intersection of MacCorkle Avenue and 39th Street in Charleston. Deputies said they noticed signs that Banks had overdosed.
It took multiple doses of Narcan to revive Banks. He was taken to the hospital to be treated.
He was released from the hospital Saturday morning and taken to South Central Regional Jail.
