Huntington police department helping restock shelves of Facing Hunger Foodbank
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WCHS/WVAH) —
The Huntington Police Department is hoping to help restock the shelves of the Facing Hunger Foodbank following the government shutdown.
The department is participating in Shutdown Hunger and is collecting jars of peanut butter that can be dropped off at the department at 675 10th Street.
The goal is to help restock the shelves of the foodbank following the shutdown that created an influx of people needing food assistance.
The department is collecting donations from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Feb, 6.
