A 16-foot box truck stolen from the Habitat for Humanity ReStore was recovered Wednesday by Huntington police.

A representative from the organization said the truck was taken between Tuesday morning and Wednesday morning at its location in the 200 block of Third Avenue. The lock on the gate to the parking lot was cut, and the truck was missing. A 10-foot box truck appeared to be disturbed but nothing was taken. The stolen vehicle contained merchandise to sell, three tool kits and four dollies.

The representative said the truck was located Wednesday afternoon on Third Street and Adams Avenue in Huntington. They said the interior of the truck was trashed, and some items were stolen but the furniture donations were left. They hope to give the truck a good cleaning and have it back on the road Thursday.
