Hogs for Dogs ride benefits Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association

Motorcyclists roared across town to the Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association bearing some gifts for the animals waiting for their fur-ever homes.

Nearly 20 riders from the Capitol City Hog West Virginia chapter rode from South Charleston to the shelter for the annual 'Hogs for Dogs' ride.

They brought loads of donations, including supplies needed to care for cats and dogs and $400.

The group makes donations to different charities every year. Last year, they started this motorcycle ride for shelter animals.

They said it’s a great way to give back and they are all animal lovers.

"It's great because I have a four-legged little son, he's a pug about that big, and we're all pet lovers,” chapter member Bruce Wilson said.

The Capitol City Hog chapter raises money at their annual poker run and donate it to four different charities.

They hope after seeing this event more people will donate to the shelter and adopt a forever friend.
