Former Supreme Court Justice Allen Loughry denied motion for new trial
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS/WVAH) —
According to court documents, former Supreme Court Justice Allen Loughry has been denied his second motion for another trial.
Documents said a juror in Loughry’s trial is accused of potentially troublesome activity on Twitter. It was found the juror liked several tweets related to the trial months before the trial started.
A U.S. district judge found the evidence was not enough to demonstrate bias during the trial.
There is no evidence the juror posted anything during the time of the trial.
