Firefighter suffers minor injuries battling house fire in Huntington

A Huntington firefighter received minor injuries while fighting an early morning house fire.

The fire happened about 3:30 a.m. Monday in the 600 block of West 12th Street. Firefighters said it was an unsecured vacant home. The home was engulfed in heavy flames on the second floor and collapsed.

A neighboring home received some damage. The injured firefighter was treated and released.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
