Deputies say body discovered following camper fire in Meigs County, Ohio
SALEM, Ohio (WCHS/WVAH) —
The Meigs County Sheriff's Office said a body was discovered following a camper fire.
The fire happened about 5:45 p.m. Thursday on State Route 335 in the Salem township, the sheriff's office said in a Facebook post.
Firefighters with the Salem and Rutland Fire Departments responded and discovered a body inside. The sheriff's office, Meigs County Coroner's Office and the Ohio Fire Marshal's Office responded.
The identity of the victim has not been released. Sheriff Keith Wood said the fire appears to be accidental and will update it as more information becomes available.
