Cooling station opens due to power outages in eastern Kanawha County
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS/WVAH) —
A cooling station has been set up at the Pratt Volunteer Fire Department for residents without power.
As of about 6 p.m. Wednesday, Appalachian Power is reporting that about 600 customers in eastern Kanawha County are without power.
Metro 911 said the Pratt cooling station will be open until power is restored. The fire department is located at 200 Center Street in Pratt.
There are also cooling stations open at Aldersgate United Methodist Church on Sissonville Drive and the Tyler Mountain Volunteer Fire Department.
