Charleston police continuing search for suspect involved in road rage shooting incident

Charleston police are continuing to search for a the suspect in a road rage incident that took place on the West Side on May 1.

Charleston police said the driver of a silver Hyundai Sonata shot at Brandon Knowles, 25, who was riding his bike near the Save A Lot at 748 Virginia St. W.

Knowles was not hit by the bullet and did not get injured.

After the shot was fired, police said the suspect got into his vehicle and drove south on Hunt Avenue.

According to police, the suspect is described as a light-skinned black man in his early 20s with a short afro-style haircut.

Anyone who sees the suspect's vehicle or someone who matches the suspect's description is asked to call police at 304-348-8111. Police said they ran the registration on the vehicle and it does not match the vehicle shown in the photo, so it may have been stolen in a separate incident.
