Charleston mayor, city officials begin 'Here to Serve' City Tour Thursday
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS/WVAH) —
Mayor Amy Goodwin, some Charleston City Council members and city representatives will kick off a five-stop city tour Thursday at North Charleston Recreation Center.
The “Here to Serve” City Tour begins at 5:30 p.m. and is expected to last until about 7:30 p.m., according to a news release from the city.
Charleston residents are encouraged to participate in the tour. Light refreshments will be served and city resource guides will be on hand for those that need them.
The mayor said in a previous news release that is important to be out in the community to make sure constituents know they have a voice in city government.
“Our team believes it’s our responsibility to be accountable and accessible to everyone,” Good win said.
The other locations, dates and times for the other four city stops are:
* Roosevelt Neighborhood Center, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Feb. 12
* Kanawha City Community Center. Feb. 21, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
* Mary C. Snow West Side Elementary, Feb. 28, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
* St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, March 7, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
