FLATWOODS, Ky (WCHS/WVAH) — Braidy Industries has paid nearly a million dollars for more than 700 acres of land in Greenup County, Kentucky.
The property is the Oaks Golf Community. CEO Craig Bouchard tells us he wants to create a safe and secure community that will keep and attract young families to Eastern Kentucky. He says Braidy will build houses there in a variety of price ranges, and he says there will even be day care provided in the community.
Bouchard tells us the golf course will eventually become a private golf club, but he points out many areas of the property need a lot of work.
"I encourage patience on the part of everybody. We will not do a lot of things quickly there. We will take our time. We will make a beautiful master design for a community
Braidy Industries will close on the property March 8th.
