ATM stolen from Boone County convenience store
BOONE COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS/WVAH) —
Boone County deputies are investigating after an ATM was stolen from inside a convenience store.
The incident happened about 3 a.m. Monday at the E-Mart in Ashford, according to a news release from the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.
Two suspects forcefully entered the store and removed the ATM. The machine was removed by dragging it with a pickup truck.
Anyone living in the Ashford area who may have noticed something suspicious is asked to contact the Boone County Sheriff's Office. A deputy may be reached 24 hours a day by calling 304-369-9913.
“We are working diligently to solve this crime and we are asking that anyone with information, please contact us,” the news release said. “The ATM was dragged down the road behind a truck, someone had to see or hear something out of the ordinary early Monday morning. The vehicle was recovered in the Ashford Hill area a short time after the incident.”
