The 29th annual Multifest will begin on Friday, Aug. 3, at Haddad Riverfront Park in Charleston.

Multifest, founded in August 1984, brings together various cultural and ethnic communities with art, music, education, cultural programs and food.

"It is a festival for everyone," said David Fryson, senior adviser to the president at West Virginia University. "It's actually the largest diversity festival in West Virginia. Diversity is really inclusive of everyone. Over the years, I believe Multifest has made its mark as being a family friendly outlet."
