A shots fired call turned into a four-hour standoff Thursday night with Charleston police.

Police surrounded an apartment on Frame Street starting about 9:30 p.m. Thursday.

A SWAT team and other police officers surrounded a house believed to be connected to the shots fired call.

Police said bullets hit a sport utility vehicle and the driver drove off. The shooter ran into an apartment.

Police searched the first apartment unit and had to use a flash grenade, but didn't find the individual.

Police got a search warrant for a second apartment unit in same building but did not find anyone there either.

No one was injured.
