Want to see a real reindeer this Christmas? Then look no further than the northern panhandle of West Virginia at The Good Zoo at Oglebay Resort just outside of Wheeling. The Zoo has just acquired 2 female reindeer just in time for the holidays, and will become permanent residents at the zoo.

Reindeer are the only deer species in the world that both males and females grow antlers, they use them to dig up the frozen ground to feed in the arctic climates where they live. The 2 reindeer at The Good Zoo won't have to dig for their food, and are part of the animal encounter program where guests can get up close and personal with certain species guided by trained animal handlers.
