Putnam County takes time to remember the terror attacks of Sept. 11 that took place 17 years ago.

Every year the James E. Marshall American Legion Post in Winfield puts together the ceremony to commemorate the anniversary, because a spokesperson says the ceremony is important.

The ceremony ended with a 21-gun salute and the playing of "Taps."
