Man charged with fleeing from officers responding in shooting incident

HOMETOWN, WV (WCHS/WVAH) — A man was charged with fleeing from officers during an officer-involved shooting incident in Putnam County.

Putnam deputies said Dennis Snyder was arrested Thursday. He is accused of being one of two men who took off running as deputies were involved in a shooting incident in the Hometown area.

In October, deputies said they shot and killed Joshua Perry in the after he got a gun out of his holster and ignored deputies’ commands.

Deputies said they are still searching for William Davis in the incident.

Anyone who has information about Davis is asked to contact police.
