Charleston police are looking for a white SUV after a shooting Monday night where two people were injured.
Police responded to a reported shooting in the 500 block of Ohio Avenue just after 10 p.m. Monday and found Charles Lucas, 47, of Nitro had a gunshot wound to the leg, according to a news release from the Charleston Police Department.
Police later learned another victim, Grant Patterson, 25, of Charleston, also had a gunshot wound to the head and was taken by personal vehicle to the Charleston Area Medical Center Women and Children's Hospital.
Upon investigating, police learned Patterson was a passenger in a black Mercury Sable traveling north on Ohio Avenue when an unknown suspect from a white SUV the Mercury Sable was following fired several rounds at Patterson's vehicle, striking him in the head. Police say the SUV could be a Jeep Liberty.
Lucas was leaving his employer and walking to his vehicle during the gunfire and was struck by a stray bullet in the leg. He was transported by the Charleston Fire Department to a local hospital and is in stable condition.
Police say Patterson is in critical condition.

Police responded Monday night after two people were shot on Charleston's West Side.
Dispatchers said multiple calls of gunshots were reported about 10:15 p.m. in the area of Ohio Avenue and Lee Street West.
Police confirmed to Eyewitness News that two people were shot, but they are not releasing any other details of the crime while they are still sorting through exactly what happened.
No conditions were immediately available.
Officers were in the area looking for a suspect.
