Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear will hold a COVID-19 news conference Tuesday afternoon.
The news conference is scheduled for 4 p.m. and will be shared in this story once it begins.
As of 4 p.m. Monday, Kentucky had at least 57,282 coronavirus cases, with 342 new positive cases reported. Of the new cases, 53 were from children ages 18 and younger.
Five deaths were also reported on Monday, bringing the state's total to 1,065 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.
As of Monday, there had been at least 1,020,070 COVID-19 tests completed in the state.
“We’ve now conducted over a million COVID tests in Kentucky. That is pretty exciting. I remember when we didn’t have COVID tests, when every day we had to tell you unless you were sick, not to get one,” Beshear said. “That is not where we are in Kentucky right now.”
