Huntington firefighters participate in memorial stair climb to honor 9/11 first responders

Huntington Firefighters participated in a Memorial Stair Climb on Friday to honor first responders who died in the Sept. 11 World Trade Center terrorist attacks. 

Firefighters climbed 110 flights of stairs at Centennial Station No. 1 to signify the trek of first responders in the twin towers. Fire departments across the country participate in similar events to pay tribute to the fallen fire fighters, police and EMS. 

Individuals can also participate in virtual stair climb events.
