High pressure will make for mostly clear skies along with dry conditions and cooler than normal temperatures through the weekend. Hurricane Irma is the strongest storm in Atlantic history and could make landfall in Florida over the weekend. The path could eventually send the remnants this way by next Tuesday.

Tonight, skies will be clear to partly cloudy with fog forming late in river valleys. The overnight low temperature will be a cool 50 degrees. Thursday will be partly cloudy and dry under persistent high pressure. The high temperature will be 70 degrees and will be breezy at times. Friday will also be partly cloudy and dry under high pressure along with a cooler than normal high temperature of 71 degrees.

The weekend will start out with mostly sunny skies along with dry conditions as high pressure strengthens over the region on Saturday. The high temperature will warm slightly to 73 degrees. Sunday will be mostly sunny and dry as high pressure will still be in control. The high temperature will warm again to 75 degrees.

Monday will be mostly sunny and dry in the subsidence zone ahead of approaching Hurricane Irma. The high temperature will make it up to 77 degrees. Tuesday will be cloudy with showers and storms as the tropical weather system moves into the region. The high temperature will drop to 72 degrees with the additional clouds and showers. Wednesday will be mostly cloudy after morning rain showers as Irma moves out of the region. The high temperature will drop back to 68 degrees. Thursday will be partly cloudy and dry as high pressure returns to the region in the wake of Irma. The high temperature will make it back to 71 degrees. Friday will be mostly sunny and dry under high pressure. The high temperature will warm again to 75 degrees. The next weekend will start out with mostly sunny skies along with dry conditions under high pressure on Saturday. The high temperature will be 76 degrees.
