A cold front will bring the threat of thunderstorms tonight, some of which could become strong to severe. Showers and storms will last into Friday morning which will then move out making for dry and mild conditions for the weekend.

Tonight, skies will be mostly cloudy with showers and storms that will affect mostly the northern part of the viewing area. Some of the storms could become strong to severe which could mean gusty winds and heavy rainfall. The overnight low temperature will be a warm 73 degrees. Friday will start out with showers and storms that will taper off to mostly cloudy skies by the afternoon. The high temperature will be 86 degrees.

The weekend will start out with partly cloudy skies along with dry conditions under high pressure. The high temperature will drop a bit to 84 degrees in the cooler air behind the front. Sunday will be partly cloudy and dry under strengthening high pressure along with a high temperature of 87 degrees.

Monday will be partly cloudy and dry for the solar eclipse. Viewing should be good with the high temperature making it to a hot 90 degrees. Remember to NEVER look at the Sun without proper eye protection. Tuesday will be mostly cloudy with showers and storms ahead of the next approaching cold front. The high temperature will drop a bit to 88 degrees with the additional cloud cover and showers. Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with showers and storms as the cold front moves through the region. The high temperature will drop to 82 degrees with the clouds, showers and cooler air moving in behind the front. Thursday will be partly cloudy and dry as high pressure moves back in over the region. The high temperature will be 80 degrees. Friday will be partly cloudy and dry under high pressure along with a high temperature of 82 degrees.

The next weekend will start out with partly cloudy skies along with dry conditions under high pressure on Saturday. The high temperature will make it to 83 degrees. Sunday will be partly cloudy and dry under high pressure. The high temperature will again come in at 83 degrees.

Friday: Morning showers and storms, then becoming mostly cloudy. High 86 degrees.

Saturday: Partly cloudy and dry. High 84 degrees.

Sunday: Partly cloudy and dry. High 87 degrees.

Monday: Partly cloudy and dry. High 90 degrees with good viewing for the solar eclipse.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy with showers and storms. High 88 degrees.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy with showers and storms. High 82 degrees.

Thursday: Partly cloudy and dry. High 80 degrees.

Friday: Partly cloudy and dry. High 82 degrees.

Saturday: Partly cloudy and dry. high 83 degrees.

Sunday: Partly cloudy and dry. High 83 degrees.
