Weak weather systems passing to the north will bring some scattered storms to southern Ohio and northern West Virginia tonight and Tuesday. Some of the storms could become strong to severe. Hot conditions will take us through Thursday with high temperatures in the 90s and the heat index approaching 100 degrees at times. Cooler and dry weather will return in time for the weekend.

Tonight, skies will be partly cloudy with a chance of showers and storms to the north. Some of the storms could become strong to severe. The overnight low temperature will be 66 degrees. Tuesday will be partly cloudy with another chance of storms in the northern part of the viewing area. The high temperature will make it to a hot 91 degrees and some of the storms could again become strong to severe. Wednesday will be partly cloudy and dry with the mercury climbing to a hot 93 degrees along with higher humidity levels that will put the heat index close to 100 degrees. Thursday will be partly to mostly cloudy and dry. The high temperature will drop slightly to a still hot 91 degrees. Friday will see a cold front moves into the region for mostly cloudy skies along with scattered storms. The high temperature will drop to 86 degrees with the additional clouds and showers and cooler air moving in behind the front.

The weekend will start off with partly cloudy skies along with dry conditions under high pressure on Saturday. The high temperature will be 87 degrees. Sunday will be partly cloudy as well and dry with the high temperature dropping slightly to 85 degrees.

Monday will be partly cloudy and dry as high pressure remains in control over the region. The high temperature will make it to 87 degrees. Tuesday will be partly cloudy and dry with high pressure in command. The high temperature will warm again to 89 degrees. Wednesday will be partly cloudy and dry with high pressure strengthening. The mercury will soar to a hot 90 degrees. Thursday will be partly cloudy and dry with the temperature again reaching a hot 90 degrees.
