An approaching cold front will make for showers and storms during the overnight hours. Some of the storms could become strong to severe. Saturday will be mostly cloudy and dry with partly cloudy skies and warmer conditions returning for Sunday.

A warm front moved through the region on Thursday which brought a few scattered rain showers and could make for a few showers or storms this evening. The overnight low temperature will be 55 degrees. The trailing cold front will move into the region early Friday. Showers and storms will start around 5:00 am on Friday in Charleston and will continue off and on through the day. The high temperature will drop to 62 degrees with rainfall totals in many areas of an inch or more.

The weekend will start out with mostly cloudy skies along with dry conditions on Saturday as high pressure moves in over the region. The high temperature will drop a bit to 60 degrees. Sunday will be partly cloudy and dry under high pressure with a high temperature of 70 degrees.

Monday will be mostly cloudy with showers as a low pressure system moves into the region. The high temperature will warm to 74 degrees. Tuesday will be mostly cloudy with rain showers as the low moves across the region. The high temperature will drop a bit to 68 degrees with the additional clouds and showers. Wednesday will be partly cloudy and dry between storm systems. The high temperature will make it all the way to 77 degrees. Thursday will be cloudy with showers and storms as another low pressure system moves into the region. The high temperature will drop to a still mild 71 degrees. Friday will be cloudy with showers and storms as the low will stall over the region. The high temperature will drop all the way to 58 degrees with the cool air associated with the low.

The next weekend will start out with mostly cloudy skies along with scattered rain showers as the low moves out of the region. The high temperature will warm a bit to 63 degrees. Sunday will be partly cloudy and dry as high pressure moves into the region. The high temperature will warm again to 68 degrees.

Tonight: Cloudy with showers and storms late. Low 55 degrees.

Friday: Cloudy with showers and storms. Some of the storms could become strong to severe. High 62 degrees.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy and dry. High 60 degrees.

Sunday: Partly cloudy and dry. High 70 degrees.

Monday: Mostly cloudy with rain showers. High 74 degrees.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy with rain showers. High 68 degrees.

Wednesday: Partly cloudy and dry. High 77 degrees.

Thursday: Cloudy with showers and storms. High 71 degrees.

Friday: Cloudy with showers and storms. High 58 degrees.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy with rain showers. High 63 degrees.

Sunday: Partly cloudy and dry. High 68 degrees.
