A very warm and mild weather pattern will take the region through the weekend and most of next week. It could push the temperature up enough to make this one of the warmest months of February ever in Charleston. There will be a chance of showers Saturday evening and again by the middle of next week with cooler temperatures finally moving back into the region in time for the next weekend.

Tonight, skies will be mostly clear with a mild overnight low temperature of 42 degrees. Remember that this time of year, the average high temperature in Charleston is 47 degrees. The weekend will start out with mostly cloudy skies as a weather system passes to the south of the region. There will be some showers at night with the heaviest amounts to the south. The high temperature on Saturday will make it to 65 degrees before the rain showers move in. Sunday will be partly cloudy and dry as high pressure moves back in over the region. The high temperature will warm slightly to 66 degrees.

Presidents' Day Monday will be partly cloudy and dry as a warm front moves through the region. The high temperature will make it all the way to 70 degrees. Tuesday will be partly cloudy and dry ahead of the trailing cold front. The high temperature will drop slightly to a still mild 68 degrees. Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with rain showers as the cold front moves through. The high temperature will fall a bit to 64 degrees. Thursday will be partly cloudy and dry as another warm front moves into the region. The high temperature will make it back to 70 degrees. Friday will be mostly cloudy with scattered showers as the warm front will stall over the region. The high temperature will make it to an even warmer 73 degrees.

The next weekend will start out with cloudy skies along with rain showers as the trailing cold front moves into the region on Saturday. The high temperature will drop to 61 degrees. Sunday will be mostly cloudy with a chance of snow showers as low pressure remains in place over the region. The high temperature will fall all the way to 40 degrees. Monday will be mostly cloudy with snow showers along with a chilly high temperature of 36 degrees.
