Founded in 1943, the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference is the largest functional athletic conference in the United States comprised of 48 schools from 20 counties, covering 5,000 square miles in Ohio and West Virginia. In honor of the athletes who have competed in the conference over the years, a museum is now housed in the WestBanco Arena in downtown Wheeling. Several Hall of Fame athletes, coaches, and sportswriters are honored including Joe and Phil Niekro, John Havlicek, and Bill Mazeroski. If you're a sports nut, don't miss this amazing collection.
