After a long and distinguished military career, Ed Jett was looking for something completely different to occupy his time. His love of wood and working with his hands inspired Ed to make a few birdhouses for his property and friends. Reaction from those friends prompted Ed to try his hand at a few local craft shows in the Pocahontas County area, the rest as they say is history.

Using materials most would consider junk, Ed creates birdhouses of a whimsical nature often with a theme. He cruises flea markets, yard sales, auctions, and thrift stores searching out what most folks would throw away. A recycling advocate, Ed uses old wood from abandoned barns and homes that are being torn down, Ed says "I've become the go-to guy when something old is coming down."
