In 1984 Bill McFarland started something unique in the pharmaceutical community in the Kanawha Valley, he opened Loop Pharmacy in St. Albans and began compounding medication. Compounding is creating medication from scratch, and Loop Pharmacy has been doing it longer that anyplace in the valley. What sets Loop Pharmacy apart is the personal attention provided to customers, and the willingness to figure out specific patient needs while working with doctors and patients simultaneously. Providing personal consultation to each customer has been a trademark of the pharmacy since it's inception and continues to be a determining factor to customers when choosing a pharmacy.
