Holly Evans Bailiff on Judge Joe Brown ![]() Holly Evans serves as a deputy marshal and court bailiff for San Diego County and brings a wealth of experience in law enforcement to her role as bailiff on the Judge Joe Brown television series. Evans started her law enforcement career in 1977 for the city of San Diego as a community service officer. She went through the physical and psychological rigors of joining the police force and became an officer for the San Diego police department in 1978, a position she held until being appointed to deputy marshal in 1981. Evans earned her bachelor of science degree in criminal justice administration in 1978. She keeps up to date with the demands of the Criminal Court System by taking various continuing courses in the criminal justice field. An avid athlete and golf enthusiast, Evans served as chairman for the San Diego County Marshal Annual Golf Tournament from 1992-93. From 1989-90, she served as a member of the board of directors for the State Marshal and San Diego Marshals, and was chairman of athletics for the California Marshal's Association from 1984-86. She was also president of the San Diego Marshal's Association from 1985-86, having previously been vice president and a member of the board of directors for the organization. Evans currently resides in Palm Springs, California with her husband of 14 years who retired from the San Diego Police Department after working there for 30 years, most recently as a sergeant.
